I was born and raised in the heart of Seattle, my mom tells me that I was named after my birth doctor but it doesn’t match my birth certificate. I was always a curious child, taking things apart and trying to understand how it works. When I was 12, I managed to frankenstein three different PCs together, but I had to undo my creation because I never asked my cousins if I could borrow their computers. I learned a valuable lesson that day when it comes to experimenting, always ask for permission.
When I was visiting San Francisco, I met brothers who were both industrial designers. I saw their creative minds following their passion and I learned their story. This lit a fire inside of me to find out more about the design industry. I’ve had my fair share of failures since then and I’ve learned it’s not about what happens to me but how I react. I can say that I don’t regret my decision to transition into the UX Design field. I want to inspire others with my passion how Hoang and Bi inspired me; keep learning, never limit creativity and be part of something bigger.
